The Öresund Bridge connects Malmö (my home town) in Sweden and Copenhagen in Denmark.
The total length of the bridge is 7.845 m (4.8 miles) The 3 last km (1.9 miles) next to the Danish shore is a tunnel. It emerges via a viaduct on a manmade island.
There is also a railway line operating on the bridge (underneath the carriageway), and the whole trip takes 35 minutes by train.
