Rod: yes, this is how it was with the column. The reason is the different surface processing of the stone. I have placed the original frame 3 stops overexposed in RAW PS converter here:

Yes a great looking light but that column nearest us looks out of place to my eye by not being in dark shadow like the other two columns. Is that how it was Alexei? Nicely shot though

I adore this light!!! I've been seeing it here a lot lately as it is mostly cloudy but the sun tries to peak through in a patch of sky. I love the structure and the sky you captured. jano

Great image Alexieg- like the mood. Interesting subject; looks like a cross between modern sculpture and some sort of Pagan altar. Well captured!
