There ya go! Now that is much better. I so miss the lighting you achieved on the stem on the first pass.... but then that's what learning is all about, which i am constantly doing. Good effect here Neo. jano

That's the way Neo I like this a lot better mate:-)

Thanks Jano, I will try to reshoot using your suggestion for a smaller flare (assuming the sun ever shines around here again).

I see what you are trying to do here Nero, but for my tastes the light is a little too strong. A tad lower and you could have still got the effect and maybe keep the nice rays also. I do like the light this created on the flower stem, leaves and background. Actually, this is growing on me as I look at it, I just have to squint a little :) jano

There's no rip offs really Neo as most of the shots here have been done before & that's how we learn by trying to rip off..........................I mean immolate our heroes:-) A sunset would be very nice Neo as me & the girls are rather fussy as to how we like our flower shots to look:-)

but that would just be a rip off of what Paul has already done for this challenge. The challenge is light -- this is what I wanted to create and this is the way it shall stay :-))))
I do appreciate your comments though and I will try to come up with two more entries that may be more appealling to your taste. Maybe a lovely sunset for you Rod ;-)

& a good thought it is too Lee:-)

Rod must not have seen this. You might want to try to shoot a little lower so that the sun is blocked by the flower. Then you will get some nice glow as the sun hits the pedals. Just a thought.
