Those are some great looking roses. I really like the unqiue viewpoint. Great job with the exposure and compsotion on this one.

Well i'm glad i've been able to log back on or i'd be down to 50p. I think i'll leave it as it is Rod thanks all the same as i quite like it without blown highlights or converted into b+w or chucked into the ocean at Wello Point.
Rod 19-Oct-2006 19:23
Two quid!
Rod 15-Oct-2006 12:17
If you haven't got any bush shots I can fix this up for a top three placing for just five quid.
Rod 15-Oct-2006 07:20
Well I hope you got some decent bush shots to replace this flawed attempt at a girls shot:-)
Paul 15-Oct-2006 07:03
Thanks Brent, Christina. Rod, try wearing your glasses rather than havng them slung around your neck desperately trying to acheive an air of intellectualism. Blown highlights i'll be buggered.

I love the quality of the petals that the light gives. They become so uniformly smooth. Excellent!
Brent 13-Oct-2006 16:19
Very nice alternate view Paul. My girfriend says she likes it a lot too.
Rod 13-Oct-2006 09:39
Yes this is a lovely shot for a bloke but the girls wouldn't have got any blown highlights:-)

Paul - did you take this after waking up after your drunken slumber? It's really pretty how the sun is filtered through the flowers. I like it because it's a different view of flowers - one we usually don't see (unless we're drunk, stumble, and find it) :) lovely jano

Wonderful filtered light.

Beautiful !

Beautiful backlit shot Paul - if you can do this in a drunken haze, what fantastic shots can we expect when you're sober?! CJ
arminb12-Oct-2006 14:52
drunken haze or drunken Paul? :o)
aam1234 12-Oct-2006 10:49
No need to replace it, this is really nice, and I'm not a big fan of flower shots :)
Paul 12-Oct-2006 10:39
Sorry Aam, i was stumbling around the garden, fell over by the rose bushes and saw the late afternoon light through the drunken haze. Post yours anyway so we can compare, i'm going bush for a few days so might get some corkers to replace this, but then again i might not.
aam1234 12-Oct-2006 09:39
You stole my idea Paul, was planning on the same shot :)
