Thanks Brent! CJ

Great image CJ. I think I saw a previous version that I didn’t have time to comment on (I type very slow) but was thinking it needed some dodge tool treatment to bring out some detail in the houses, but looking at it now I think the pure silhouettes work nicely.

Thanks all. I like this version better too, even if it looks a little scary or menacing! I think of it as having a melancholy feel to it. It is the end of the season and most of the birds have migrated South already. Soon it will be winter with freezing cold weather and blowing snow. CJ

Excellent. This has such a wonderful mood to it of seasons end with a thick dewey, cooling air which the slight softness helps no end. Well done.

Wow, I think this is a powerful shot. It looks kind of scary, in some way. Not that I'm that easly scared by birdhouses, but still...

Quite menacing feel to this

Nice silhouette of three CJ. If the clouds has some sunset colors in them, it would be equally nice I think, and bring out some details in the birdhouses themselves. A worthy scene to keep experimenting with. jano

I've just added a curves adjustment & I think it helps. Have a look in the DP thread. I don't know if you have the curves tool in Eliments.

Thanks Rod. I am not comp[letely satisfied with the b/w conversion, even after trying your settings. I actually shot this in the auto w/b and Tungsten settings, just to see the effect and this is the conversion from the tungsten image. I think I may end up replacing this with the original image using the auto w/b. Thanks for your suggestions though! CJ

This is really good Carole wiv great composition but it's just slightly lacking something. I downloaded it & just increased the contrast to plus 9 & decreased the brightness to minus 8 & then an unshark mask of 100-- point 3-- 0 :-) It looked great to me then, well done:-)
