Rod and Tom - gee, you guys are just getting too "artsy" ! next thing you know, you'll be saying this photo "...evokes a sense of..." something-or-other... (every good art description in museums use those words) :-)

Rod
glad you do. I might start to agree with myself too, if we keep it up like this
:))

In my opinionin with shots like this, with very strict geometric components, modules if you want, composing a shot with the same attention to framing is essential.
If the framing of this curve wouldn't be lined up to both opposite corners, that specific tension that Rod mention would appear.but in this case, the main subject and the way the image delivers it's message is altered. the subject is not the strictly geometric pattern anymore, but the tension itself.

thanks Rod, jano and EricaRuth!
Rod - about the alignment - yes I guess you could say it's maybe _too_ nicely lined up. but hey wasn't it you who said we gotta try harder to beat the ladies :-) I'll try to find a more spontaneous outdoor shot for my 3rd entry, just for you!

This is really nice b.c., and a keeper for a fine print. Well done. jano

Yes it does look good dunit but about the perfect arc. I think that because we can wiv software we're making our shots too perfect & they're losing some tension that makes them more interesting. I'm doing it myself but I will try & stop. When I look back through the books of the great photographers not much in their shots line up.
Nicely done b.c.:-)

thanks Tom. I used a tripod, but couldn't quite manage the exact framing I wanted so I did crop it a bit.
re: pbase account - after the trial period you can keep the account but just not post new images to it, I believe. - b.c.
