I may feel differently if you later post a colour version for comparison, but right now this b/w shot works for me. The zig-zaggy fire escape and all the nearly identical doors and windows make a nice pattern in b/w, although I do agree it could probably use some higher contrast - b.c.
Bruce, is this building painted a tropical color? If so, you might want to submit it in color for more contrast. Also, you might want to consider reshooting this when there are some strong shadows.
