Thanks CJ and Brent, i'd nick some of Emmas hand cream but i think it's about $100 a jar or something. Might make me a bit girly too.

Paul, you need some good hand lotion for those poor little fingers! The hard yakka does add interesting patterns to you hand though and the b/w works well for this. CJ

Nice detail, light and B+W treatment Paul. I guess I should dabble in B+W some more myself. Goodun'!

I looked at the photo on a friends (yes, i have one) laptop yesterday and i found it was too big. I've replaced it with a 600 pixel wide version which i think is better. It grates but i admit Rod was right with him saying i'd resized it out of whack.

Thanks Aam, i think you might find it's a 3rd, you've lead me down the slippery slope from your b+w challenge:>)

Ah, Paul being macho again. Will not mention gloves because we discussed that before. Oh and Paul using B&W! that must be a first :)

Thanks all, thanks Rod for explaining to Henri what hard yakka meant, did Merreana explain it to you? :>)

Well done Paul.

Thanks for the explanation. It has much more meaning now.
Rod 16-Sep-2006 02:09
Yes Henry Yakka means work. Hard Yakka = Hard Work. Paul does get dramatic at times:-)
Henry Dondi 15-Sep-2006 23:14
I think it's a great use of "foreshortening" that makes the hand look so out of whack. Powerful looking hands. Does Yakka have a meaning?
ctfchallenge15-Sep-2006 16:22
definitely looks like a working man's hands! very dramatic - b.c.

wonderful light!
Paul 15-Sep-2006 08:34
I have quite podgy hands actually, my guitir playing mates always larf at me struggling to get my fingers around a barre chord.

Thin rubber gloves eh? I'd rather not and anyway i'd tear the bugger putting it on. Are we back to the long coat again:)

Ta, by the way.
Rod 15-Sep-2006 08:24
Yuck, I hate looking at common working persons hands. This is a great looking shot but it looks like you have resized it out of whack as you don't have little fat hands like me. Wot does the original perspective look like? Unless you do have little fat hands like me:-)
The lighting looks really good showing up all the abuse these little digits suffer through the week. Mereana is wiv Emma on not letting these appendages anywhere near her, although those very thin rubber gloves may convince them otherwise.
