Very nice Libbie. Welcome to the challenge. This was taken just a five minute walk from my home. Tough getting those buggers to stay still- I tried once.

This is a black Swallowtail - I've only seen the yellow variety in my garden but I thought they were so pretty I decided I wanted to attract them to my yard so I did a little homework. They need fennel, dill or parsley plants to lay eggs on so next year that's what I'll plant.
I don't have a blurred one as nice as yours Libbie but here's one of my yellow ones. CJ

Welcome, Libbie! This is a very nice first entry in the challenges. I love the colors and the way the flowers show through the blurred wings of the butterfly. Also the way the pattern on the wings has turned to stripes. A very good blurred shot! ~Sharon
