Thank you for the comments folks. I took this a while back and I wasn't particularly happy with the position of the front flame either.. and the blown hightlights for some reason don't bother me. Fun to experiment.
I think this is a great shot - could even be made better if the lead flame was just off the back flame. I know fire shots are awfully hard to capture...and this IMO is one that is done well. I agree with Rod to expose for the flame, but overall you did well. Just kinda hard to tell since it is blended in with the one in the background. jano

The reflections on the table & DOF are very good but the blown highlights in the flames I find hard to view. I think its far better to expose favouring the flames & bring the rest of the shot up in software.
