Pete's Place*
by Rod

Redlands Brissie Oz

I parked in front of this ole blokes place to take picys of me first entry the white house His & Hers shot which was opposite Pete's place & started talking to him. Had a nice chat & asked him if I could get a picy of him & his house. A modest house but in no way is it ugly, it's a friendly home something I couldn't say about the white house opposite.

Thanks Brent:-) Pete was very interesting I wish I could have chatted for longer but I had to pick the missus up just up the road where she was doing a fabric dying workshop. I've posted a couple of shots in the main thread which puts this shot into a better (realistic) perspective. I would imagine that living in an area which is all large acreage blocks about 5 to 10 acres each & getting older the security cage might have made him & his missus feel a bit more secure. Funny thing is there are no security screens on the windows or anywhere else around the house. Maybe the Hells Angles used to cruise in after dark & raid his pumpkins, I imagine they would have left his 85 year old missus alone:-) He must feel quite bemused with all the mansions being built around him.

I'm glad you explained Pete was friendly Rod, because he looks like he is about to throw a rock at you :-) Indeed he has a humble little house, but maybe we can see ugliness in the fact he feels he needs a cage around his porch- is he trying to keep up with the neighbors across the street with that? I think he would best keep up by parking his and hers wheelbarrows in front of his house ;-)
Glad you had a chance for a nice chat with Pete Rod.
