To some this house might not be ugly but to me it is. It was built about a year ago in my neighborhood. The builders never even bothered to talk to any of the neighbors and the construction was disruptive to us all. They used a standard plan with few windows. Those it has are not very usable. (You wonder why I should mention this.) Well, this house is plotzed down right in front of several others, between them and an expansive view of Lake Whatcom. The owners of those houses lost their views. This house did not even take advantage of the view. I walked around in it as it was being built. It's poorly laid out with high windows upstairs in the bedroom so that if you sit on the bed you can't look out. It's big but not very usable. Why? The builders were greedy and not too bright IMHO. They were asking top dollar for this house and it took them almost a year to sell the place. To me this house demonstrates the folly of making life all about money. (I should mention that this house did not effect my view so it's not just personal sour grapes.)
