Thanks for the comments. I was wondering about the toy myself at first, but then realized it makes the scene more complete, as he was playing furiously with the toys, then just passed out in the sun. This is our new kitty, Maxey by the way. :)
He's 5 weeks old now. :)
Ya, the color of the toy matches the cat's inner ear with the light shining on it. :) jano

Normally don't go for the cat shots either:-) But wot a difference the lighting can make to any shot & especially this cat shot. Fantastic lighting & exposure & I don't mind the toy behind as its at rest like the cat so I think it blends in nicely. Great shot Britt:-)
I really like this Britt - the toy doesn't bother me at all as I really hardly notice it, nor do I think it takes away from the main view which is the kitty's face. I suppose you could blur it out slightly. Probably a bh on the front arm of the kitty... but overall great composition and lighting. jano
I love the way the light falls across this kitten and makes those blue eyes look so liquid. Too bad about the toy in the back, which really detracts from the photo.
