Good one Bogdan! Good cropping decision. This is great.! You can try another cropped variation, by removing the ventilator at the top. That one too will look great too. -Cat

Thanks! I have another version of this shot but the candle was still in the air and it's flame was obscured by the other candles. This looks good color too... It is better in B&W though. Bogdan

Like it a lot, and love the mono choice, good call.

I feel the dark grated window balances the diagonaly opposite bright corner but feel free to have a stab at cropping it. You can send me your take by email than we can talk about it. I'm always willing to learn and honest opinions and critique are a sure path to improvement. Thanks! Bogdan

really like it, have you also tried to cut a little bit from the top, to make his appearance more pronounced?

Thanks for the good word. I tried to crop that initially (before posting) but found out that it is needed to kick my friend out of the background. It helps silhouette his body and without it the shot looks a bit flat.

Excellent shot in a low-light situation. Also a good range of tones in this b & w photo. I'd suggest that you crop off the brightly lighted left side, as it draws the eye away from the candles.
