Love it, but would agree, skin should be a tad softer for my taste :)

Sorry for the confusion, my fault. I misunderstood the guidelines becoz I just glanced at it. The date reflected is the date I entered it, not the date I took the shot. I changed it as I thought it should be the entry date. Will keep this in mind next time. Again, apologies for the mistake and confusion. More power to CTF Challenge!

Deo, thanks for taking this kindly and moving your photos to Exhibition.

Mary Anne, the Exif date shows this photo was taken on "01-May-2006 12:40:52" , not the "27-MAY-2006" date entered via the "shot date" entry on the photo's "edit page"

Deo, I don't understand why you moved it to Exhibition. It was taken with a Canon digital camera during the time period for this challenge. Take a look at the rules again.

Love the lighting here. Agree with Mary Anne...seems a bit over-sharpened... I would go for a subtle soft look with this lighting.

This is a beautiful shot, Deo, but I do think that you need to tone down the sharpening a bit. This lovely young face needs to reflect the smoothness that only youthful skin has, but I feel as if I can see every pore. Like your other photos, it shows a real sense of trust between you and your subjects. I think you've mastered the art better than most of us ever will...just need to work on technique a bit.

Beautiful picture, I would have taken out those stray hairs on chin and forehead, but what do I know!? :o)

The great shots come when we break the rules Lee:-)

Wonderful shot. Not sure about the placement of the eye. It seems slightly off center. I would liked to see the rule of thirds used. Just a thought.

I'm sure you will find your own feet Deo by experimenting & trying different ways to get your vision into a print. You have a real talent & I hope you have a life long love affair with photography. Just don't get bogged down earning a living with boring weddings & studio shots:-)

Thanks for the reminder Rod. :-) Appreciate it.

Im now trying a different approach in post processing, with the ultimate goal of really minimal PP on my pics. In short, I'm trying to better my actual shot exposures. :-)

Great shot again Deo but be careful as I'm starting to see a samey look to your shots from the post processing. Each shot is great but we must be careful to let each shot assume its own character which strong post processing eliminates. It's a bit like using a Velvia action to saturate every shot, the shots start to have the same flavour in looks so you can lose some impact. This does look very good mate:-)
