Nice light
Brent 21-May-2006 17:22
This has a very nice "innocent" look to Sue Anne. I like the color of the light too. Well done.
Rod 21-May-2006 12:51
:-)hehe. That's a good girl. We only live once so we should all do what we enjoy doing but doing that to your picys should only be done in the privacy of your Pbase gallery:-)
Mereana had a look at your border & liked it................I can hear her now, she's up to her 20th hail Rod:-)
sue anne21-May-2006 11:32
Yes Rod... see what happens when Australia sleeps?

I will keep the version as it, (that is why I didn't upload til I got the final "Rod' okay but looks likes I'll just keep it in my own Pbase gallery. :)
Rod 21-May-2006 09:10
Sue Anne you're not allowed to play with that Carole anymore, she's such a bad influence & has undone all the good work I've put into you over the past 6 months in just two mins.
Now Sue Anne you can say ten hail Mary's & off to bed without dinner:-)
Carole..............................bugger off:-)

PERFECT!!! ;-) CJ
sue anne21-May-2006 01:59
Yes CJ, (this is it)
That orange border, drop shadow and sig - this is the final touch that Rod will surely be speechless now. ;)

Will check back before I really give it the final uploading for the challenge. :)
or else just keep it the way it was before all the added touches. Have a good evening. My work is complete.
ctfchallenge21-May-2006 01:40
It looks great! Maybe you need an orange frame around the white mat though and don't forget your signature! I'm sure Rod will love it! ;-) CJ
sue anne21-May-2006 01:25
Well CJ...
LOL
LOL
Here it is but should I wait for Rod to say yeah ? ;)
ctfchallenge21-May-2006 00:39
Yes, do it now!!!! ;-) CJ
sue anne21-May-2006 00:36
Thanks for the comments.... will keep this for now like this. :)

So CJ, I can frame it and drop shadow on it just like Rod would likes that final touch. ;)

Just to weigh in, though the shadow on the hair might be a little distracting, I like the feel that it gives that your son is really surrounded by these high grasses. He looks so much more "in" the grass with the shadows coming to the top of his head. Anyway, I don't know much, it's just my thought.

Beautiful picture of your son Sue Anne. And I think I do like this version a little better - great clonning job on the hair but I wouldn't bother with the shadow on his nose as to my eyes, it is barely noticable. I really like the contrasting colors of his shirt against the green grasses too. The proportion of the picture seems a little off to me so I might crop a little off the bottom. I think you should frame this one - very nice! :-) CJ

Good job! You don't see many things in your own photos.

I can't make up my mind if I like best the original or the cloned picy. Great job either way, Sue Anne! /Oved
Rod 20-May-2006 11:02
I just liked the original, photos are not supposed to be perfect all they need is some feel & the original has that:-)
sue anne20-May-2006 09:45
Rod,

When it comes to cloning, I do tend to make a mess of it. Now the nose shadow.... soon its going to be a complete makeover.

So maybe either go back to the original or stay at this one as there were shadows from the evening sun which is why I hesitated to use flash and bumped the ISO to 400. This was like one shot only. :) I'll see what I can do but I may just leave it at this after the cloning.
Rod 20-May-2006 05:54
I noticed the grass shadow on his head before but because I can see long grass, it to me was a part of the picy.
The problem you have now is the shadow left on the nose looks out of place so unless you can clone the nose shadow (might be tricky) I think leaving the shadow on the hair will make the nose shadow look OK. Still a great looking shot:-)
sue anne20-May-2006 02:50
Thank you Rod..... wow made 'you' speechless - now that would make a good 'May' shot. ;) It was the evening sun light going down and the good f8.0 Av mode. :)
Plus son mades for a good subject.

Thanks John, here is an updated version of taking the black shadow line off the hair. Until you said something, I really did not see it. ;)

Thanks again for the input.
jCross20-May-2006 01:00
This is very nice. If you could take the thin black streak out of his hair, that would improve it. When I first looked at it that was what grabbed me.

Sue Anne, this is just magnificent. For once I'm just speechless.
I hope shutting me up wasn't the reason for taking this fantastic picy:-)
