Anyway, thanks for the advice and helping make this a better photograph. Thats what I am looking for and thats what makes this all great.
I am known to put in a jab or too, but is a bit soon for me to labled "rotten" by anyone, and I need to wiki what exactly a "boofhead" really is... :P

Great difference the crop makes. It gives the photo some ambiguity as the greenery could be deep swaths covering a hillside or it could be lichen covering a few pebbles.

We can get really confused now with two Pauls so I suggest we call Paul Bates "Nice Paul" & call boofhead Paul "Rotten Paul"
Very nice shot Paul, this works really well especially with the new crop which is really unusual as most of Rotten Paul's advice is really silly:-)

This i like too and the title fits. I'd lose though the other plants at the top right and sharpen up the image a tad so we can really feel the texture.
