sueanne, Nice color and clever shot for "T". Yvonne

I think a crop somewhere in between the two would help out. This shot sort of loses the three dimensional aspect of the photo, making it appear all flat. The other one at least shows up the flowers haven't been trampled on and are in fact growing by themselves. Just my thought.

Yes, that's it. After posting below i saw that the crop needs to be less tight so thre sharper petals are more towards the centre. Not dead centre but this rule of thirds thingy. The sharp elements in the photo are sort of a 5th into the frame rather than a 3rd.
Lovely glowing colour by the way

Very nice but there's something missing for me. I usually love flower shots. Perhaps if the foremost flower was one in sharper focus as my eyes are drawn almost unwillingly to the left of the screen to the sharper flower.

Much much better if you ask me.

Thank you Rich and Rod.....

Rod for the tips as usual.... I'll keep trying :)

And aam1234, I did like the tighter crop, sort of looks like an abstract, so here it goes... tighter crop of the original that keeps going in deeper ....

Not always easy to do but when you're composing see if you can pick a background in shadow when the sun is on the subject. The lighter backgrounds compete with the subject. When you get a longer lens this will be less important as the background will really blur & separate from the subject. Great shot for the topic, well done:-)

Thank you aam1234.
I did alittle darkening and now a tighter crop.
Learning all the time. :)

Glad to see it back. Did you darken it a bit, it looks better now.

If you have time you might want to experiment with a tighter crop to see if it will show "touching" more. Just a thought.
