Yes you have to be careful when burning in as the halos do spoil it. Nice shot but.

I think it's kind of personal preference on the darkening he did. I think it makes the subjects of the photo really pop out. I love it.

I like this, it's a great catch, but what I don't like is the halo effect around the legs of the kids... it's evident you darkened the background...but it looks artifical to me...
