I love this photo. I prefer the B&W one to the color one. Personally I find the B&W to be a much more striking image.Great shot of these kids. Looks like lots of fun. :-)

Jano: I have placed the color version here: http://www.pbase.com/image/57752031 Somehow the color seems to me a bit too disorganized here (I am struggling here for a word to express correctly what I feel). I took this picture because I was struck by the seriousness and orderliness of children, so unlike of the usual children at play. I think that b/w underlines this feeling, which was the reason of taking this picture at the first place

This is a nice b&w but I think would really be better in color for the subject matter. In any case - it is very nicely detailed and I can feel the anticipation of the kids getting ready to power off.... :) jano

Nice B&W picture Alexeig. The children must be playing a serious game or else working hard to keep their vehicles under control! On my monitor (an LCD) there is a lot of detail in the snow so it looks good to me. Cute shot! :-) CJ

Many thanks, aam, Sue Anne, Rod and Armin. Rod: I like contrast in b/w and you know what? Snow IS white. I know, i know: for an inhabitant of Queensland it is difficult to believe in this. About as difficult as it would have been for me to believe in all these multitudes of colorful fish of Great Barrier Reef. If I would have not visited it, that is.
