Thanks, alexeig! Yes, it is a Fiestaware dinner plate. This is new Fiestaware as the older stuff never had a real red. ~Sharon

Beautiful and meaty red. Is it a plate?

nice idea.

Hi Sharon. I meant plain red not just plain. It's good as it is, no need to change anything imo.

I seem to like the cookie where it is as it does add some tension to the shot.. Well done Sharon it's nice to have a shot turn out as you envisioned it. Not an easy task.

Thanks, Mary Anne, aam and CJ! Mary Anne, this is how I conceived of the image and for once it came out exactly as I saw it in my head. No broccoli this time! Aam, if it had a plain background then it wouldn't be red china! CJ, I did try it in the middle of the circle and that put it right in the center of the picture. I am thinking that this way it looks more like a cookie on a plate than a meticulously composed picture. I could be wrong! Thanks for your comments, all! ~Sharon

I like the Chinese cookie on the china plate - cute idea! Great red color and the lighting looks really good too. I don't know about the placement of the cookie below the circular pattern though. Did you try it in the middle of that circle? CJ

Excellent idea and execution. Would have preferred a plain red background (underground?).

I like your play on words, Sharon. However, on this brilliant red I think I'd prefer a red fruit or vegetable or a green complement such as a piece of steamed broccoli. Of course, then you might have to dream up a new title. LOL
