Many congratulations well deserved...:> Dougie

Thank you for the comments. They're flattering. Especially you aam, keep it coming, with all the abuse I get at work I almost don't recognise compliments anymore. :-P

I don't think I'll hang it in my living room though, I don't know that I'd like it staring at me all the time. There are some pictures in this gallery that I think deserve the wallspace more. Thank you though.

I think I will play with it in black and white...just for fun. :)

This is such a magnificent photo that I have to comment on it again. Love how the kid is looking away from the camera.

Two "btw's": 1- Did you print it and hang it in your living room yet. 2- Have you experimented with a conversion to B&W. Worth a shot if you ask me.

This shot reminds me of the movie "Delicatessen" where the guy looks up out of the rubish bin just before he's cleaverd to death by the Butcher. Except his eyes had a bit more fear in them as you could imagine.

Excellent, I also like the point made by Aam about the partly hidden eye. Dougie

Btw, this photo reminds me of Lawrence of Arabia. If you haven't seen this film you can have a look at its poster:

I love how the left eye (to the viewer) is hidden. It adds mystery and drama. Superb photo.

this is a righteous and very clever image! Kudos

Awesome image, Rentasmo. Love the mysterious look in the eyes :P. The red is very dynamic. Nice job. :)

Beautiful vibrant shot- like the detail in the eye. Well done.

Thank you everyone for the comments. I'd consider a reshoot but I don't want to subject the model to anymore of my incompetence. It can be quite trying :P

Excellent composition. In my humble opinion, this picture will be even better if the left eye (facing the picture) is completely visible/hidden.
Great job.

This is very cool, Rents. i like the sharp yet surprizingly "relaxed" look in the eye. -Abstract

Wow. Good constrast from the subjects eye color. Do you have a shot with two eyes?
janewigginsphotography06-Mar-2006 04:33
I absolutely love the colors this image brings out - the blue of the eyes, the natural skin tone, and the vibrant red of the velvet. jano
