This one looks very nice Paul. I was wondering where you had been the last couple of challenges, and now see you have gotten an Olympus DSLR to replace your busted G6. If you don't get the G6 fixed I hope to at least continue to see your participation in the exibition. Enjoy yout new DSLR- wish I had one myself :-(

I tried adjusting the contrast and a few other things but it failed to bring out any more detail. As this is one of two identical trees in the front garden then i could go out and try again, which i have. I think this shows the detail better somewhat of these beautiful flowers. The red parts of the flowers are called filaments.

Paul, this is an impressive looking flower, but I think it needs a bit more contrast to make all those (?)petals(?) "pop."
