Hope he didn't beat you up after you shot this photo! Looks like he is about to! Fantastic expression captured here :) Britt

Gawd I'm a dope there were quite a few of your B&W shots that I've seen before they were in the monochrome gallery. I found some excellent work in the candid gallery too, you must have the trust of the street people as they seem quite relaxed with you around & none have that self conscious look on their faces. How did you get on in Vietnam getting such a varied group of people to pose for you? Again they look so natural. You have a great body of work there Julian well done mate.

Thanks for the comment about the gritty realism, Rod. I like taking this kind of raw images. Not everything in this world is sweet and pretty. There are more B&W images in my pbase galleries. If you are interested you can find them here:

A lady?? I don't know what the women look like in your corner of the world but I thought it was obvious that this is a guy. LOL

Those eyes say it all....not someone I would want to start a conversation with... looks very angry or sorrowful. I agree that the grain works well. jano

I can't remember if I've seen a B&W of yours before Julian but I really like the gritty realism in these shots. Nice work.
