The way that sunlight reflects up from the snowy gray rock
and lightens the otherwise shadowy side of the mountain
balancing its light and dark textures
while more completely defining its rough hewn detail.
And the way the trees rise up form scratch. Love it.

Thanks very much all. This lake is in North Cascades National Park about two hours north of Seattle. I had hiked to this lake the summer before and the sky was brown with forest fire smoke. It was nice to have a sparkling summer day there this time around. I'm pretty sure the image isn't tilted, but the closer shoreline on the right gives it that appearance.

Your colors are perfect! I can really describe what the atmosphere would be there!!!
But is it a bit tilted to the right or am i decieved by the lake???

Awesome shot Brent you nailed this one mate. The snow around the base of the hills makes it a bit special too. Well done mate:-)
