Lack of color is also a problem here, and now that most of the snow has melted, it really looks drab outside. I was surprised that you were able to get as much color into this photo as you did.

My thoughts exactly Mary Anne - although the trees are in the background, the main focus is not on them. I have another photo almost ready to put up. I only wish there was more color in my world outside!!! jano
It's a beautiful shot, Jano, but it seems to be veering away from the "tree" topic. That would immediately eliminate this very nice photo from voting consideration for me. I'm not trying to play "topic police"...you always submit good entries, and I'd like to see them all get a fair shake.

Yes, luv it now. The flower has center stage & looks great. The whole shot is now one. Way to go Jano:-)
The light on the flower is really nice but I'm finding the white snow distracting me eye down. As I type this comment the brightest part of the snow is cropped off me screen & it looks really good to me like that.
