Keep Taking Pictures (*)

The mirror is a family treasure. A wonderful artist friend named Leah Hamilton (I called her Tiger Lady because she had streaks in her hair) made this mirror for my parents. It has the names of my parents and us three kids in the colored squares at the corners and one of the side ones. My parents never had a fourth kid so one of the maroon rectangles has no name. I treasure this mirror so it seemed appropriate for this self portrait. The graininess is because I shot this underexposed so I could hand-hold the camera.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM
1/40s f/3.2 at 24.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Very nice, Ann, although I have to echo Lonnit's question about whether you really need a resolution to keep taking pictures. Still, I think the photo speaks for all of us in showing the joy you (and we) get from photography.

You must have a tiny face bc that lens looks huge next to you! LOL! I'd like to see the white edges around the frame cropped out. Now, as for your resolution... do you REALLY need a resolution to take more pix, or do you think you would have done that anyway?!! LOL! ~ Lonnit

i agree with rest of the gang...very nicely framed shot. that 'red' square hiding the part of the lens bothered me a lot but i can imagine why that would be a positive point for some (decrease camera's importance compared to your face). -Abstract

Well I am SO happy that I saw this before I went to take the picture of myself in the mirror today! I must have been snoozing because now I'm losing! Great picture Ann! :) ~Britt
