This photo doesn't need a title. It is just so heartfelt! It would mean the same in every language... just excellent. - Steve

Very, very nice. Usually I do not appreciate self portraits but this one is very appropriate

I think your extra work on the shot has added a nice focus & enhanced the feel. Looks extra good now, well done mate.

I really like this Lee, I agree with Abs, looking away and down does it for me too. yvonne

Thanks Lonnit and Britt. I reduced the brightness by -8 and added a layer of soft light. Then painted with black around the edges.

Not sure the wife would agree to the adoption, 8-)

Lee...Whatever you did to this looks great. It seems a bit warmer now and the more I look at it, the more I love your creative idea. Will you adopt me so I can come live with you? From, your biggest fan! (I promise not to disable you and hobble your feet while I force you to finish your book on photography!) :) ~Britt

Well executed. The hands form an particularly attractive looking heart shape. Nice goals as well. :) ~ Lonnit

i really like this. nice lighting. its a bit harsh on the hands but nothing serious. personally, you looking away is the 'deal maker' for me. -Abstract

Thanks all. I tweaked it a little. It does look very different between work and home monitors. theFly

Great feeling in this one, and it comes across really well. The lighting looks pretty good on the CRT I have. More light on the heart and the less on the face so it does emphasise shyness and the light of love ;) (*)only one tiny thing I would change, is burn a bit of the backgroung showing in the top right corner of the pic.

Great idea, great execution... and thanks for opening your heart to us!

I think this is great and it looks fine on my monitor. I have a mac. Maybe that is why. Ann

Thanks all. My monitor at home is not very good. It looks alot different at work.
Britt 06-Jan-2006 14:33
I think the lighting could be a bit better on this, but HEY, I am the last person to complain about that, since I HAVE NONE!!! Love the idea and your creativity as always, Lee. I'm still a big fan! :)

Very good indeed Lee, it says a lot.

You took the first step! Showing us this wonderful depiction of your inner-most feelings.
Funny, shy is the last thing I gathered from your photography and commentary. I'm very shy, too, but have learned to hide it with a quick sense of humor and a genuine interest in others. Artistic people tend to be introspective and it's this sensitivity that helps to create images with depth.

Lee, this is a great intepretation... love the way your face angles with the "shyness" feature and your hands depict the heart. Very imaginative and very good image of your interpersonal self. jano

Nicely done Lee the girls will love this shot. I've found the best way to overcome shyness is to drink a six pack of XXXX & run around in me missus underwear. Try it & post a picy of you being less shy:-) Well done Lee.
