It speaks of time gone by thats for sure. The white is a bit too white for my eyes as well, in spite of the fact that i am many, many years younger than Rod. The banannas seem a bit blurry, maybe it was the champagne LOL Yvonne

I don't understand how the white background doesn't seem to bother anyone but the frail & infirm................& artiiiiiiiistic:-)

Thanks everyone for your critique of both images. I really wasn't happy with either as I felt there was more detail or depth in the color image (with gaudy background) and more starkness in the b&w version. Therefore, I compromised and took the color photo and redid it which you find here. I think there is more detail in this version - what do you think? Color off to exhibition. jano

I just had a look wiv me anti glare glasses & it does look better. So maybe if you issue these glasses to whomever will view the shot you may prevent premature blindness in the process:-)

Hehe mongrel, The old eyes can't take atomic whites & the other shot is very pretty. & we like pretty.

This is great. Lovely textures leap out from this - and its not what you'd normally think of when you imagine a banana. White background is fine. Much better than the ghastly pink one on the colour version :) This pic has made me remember I'm not looking forward to getting to Rod's age........

Despite wot Pops said the only one who can say if this is ok is you Jano. But I still say.............bugger it off:-)

I prefer this shot to the color version. The all white background is fine by me despite what Rod says about it.
Rod 30-Dec-2005 11:12
The background is far too white & glary on my screen & the skins have lost that special look. They do look more rotten like this though, but pure white backgrounds are normally used for graphic type shots for printing as it's too hot for monitors. Bugger it off:-)

I like the b&w more, it as more highlight and it's more punchy. Great one jano.
