{ The car is leaning to the right, but if you look at the light pole on the right, you will see it is not a tilted image. }

Thanks everyone for your comments. Sorry it took me so long to comment back, but been at my dad's celebrating a belated Christmas. I was actually driving down in the Haymarket area and saw this happening, so I didn't have to wait for it, Yvonne. :)
Lucky timing (so to speak) for me. :)

I hope they have the money to get it out of the garage (LOL). How long did you wait for this great shot Britt?? I can see you now, ok ok the time is expired, ok they are calling the tow truck, ok here we go. four hours later the perfect entry!!! Good job. Yvonne

I should have known as normal people do sign their names.

First - this is a great image Britt and what a timely capture! Very nice and clean - great shadow and highlight detail. I might crop off just below the line on the top as I don't think that space is necessary; otherwise, I don't find anything else distracting and like it as is. Good job girl! jano

huh? I usually sign my name Rod - unless i've embelished in too many shots straight up (with ice) and am typing when I should be sleeping - lol Jano

Wot's the point in us commenting if you don't read em Jano:-)

Didn't read all the comments, but it seems somebody/ maybe everybody wants to crop this photo. I say No to that. Any crop will also crop the context of this picture. It's perfect as it is, if you ask me.

WTG Britt, what a wonderful pic you have there sista!

Abs crop looks prettier but the original shows the pace of life in the city much more. The hustle & bustle, over stay your time & lose your car.

Very timely. Nice work. I love the soft glow of the car and deep shadows. Well done! -- Bruce

Thanks for the comments. Yes I did include the ramps and the buildings above. This is actually cropped down quite a bit from the original. I just wanted to focus on the sign and the car (and the fact it was being towed away!)
Abs, as for the race, I think I can come up with a car to beat you. :) Daddy has a couple in the garage that are my favorites when I want to get some where in a hurry. :)
Rod, the lighting was bizarre as this was taken in late afternoon and there are heavy shadows on the buildings (this is a downtown shot) from other buildings. The sun was back to my right a bit, so that is why there are such strange shadows.
Thanks again for the comments.
~Britt

Wot empty space? Car ramps below & buildings above. Both needed for context I would have thought.
ctfchallenge30-Dec-2005 03:58
all right! nice shot!
is that your new car? wanna race? i think, this one is I4-180hp, so should be able to give me a decent fight :) for the *..there is too much empty space on the top and bottom of the car for my taste.-Abstract

I really like the lighting on the car against the darker background. But can I see uneven burning in above the car? The right side of the shot looks good.
