I think i like it better this way but i does have much noise...But since i'm a noob, maybe you should consider Lonitt's advice. She's got much more experience than me, takes great shots and obviously she knows Photoshop better :))...I think it's an image that can be seen in many different ways...and postprocessed accordingly. It's a good image to practice on photoshop...
Again, best wishes...

There's tons of color noise here. I've salvaged shots like this by changing the mode to LAB color and saving only the luminance channel. BW would have much more dramatic impact, well suited to the moment. Hope she's doing well. {{{{Hugs!}}}}~ Lonnit

A photo full of emotions!! I can relate to this one very easily. Hope your daughter recovers soon. Seeing for the first time, but the natural colors of the skin tones look better. -Cat

Canoneer,
Thanks for the advice on how to fix the image. It really helped in my opinion. What do you think? (BTW, I deleted your duplicate comment.) :)
Thanks again,
Britt :)

Just read your threads...I wasn't aware of the event because i can't keep up with all the threads in the forum. Very sentimental Britt!! Beautiful capture of an unfortunate event! I hope you all put it behind you and the young one gets well soon! Although i like this "cool" tone in your shot [it gives an idea of how your daughter feels] you can fix it on photoshop almost automaticaly. On levels, choose the right dropper and click on a white spot [the sheets].
Maybe you could try a warmer tone to point your fathers affection. (Just a thought)
Best wishes ~ Canoneer

Not sure how to fix the white balance. This is the actual lighting in the room since the lights were bothering her eyes, we had them all shut off, so the only light in the room was the purplish gray coming through the tinted windows. I kind of like it this way as it is true to the emotion of the situation, but if it's off bad, let me know...will try to fix it.
Thanks again for the well wishes. :)

Really nice shot Britt with lots of emotion behind it - all of which us here that have been reading the forums are aware of. The WB seems to be off - but i'm sure this shot wasn't all about wb, exposure, composition, etc. Very nice capture of your dad and his lovely grandaughter. Poor girl! All the best to her and I hope she is doing well. Nice to see your dad (the 70's guy that he is lol :) jano
