Thanks for all the comments and debate. I think that it is actually a statue on the second floor that you are seeing. theFly

I'm trying to figure out what that person on the second floor is doing...is he/she Dancing? Slamming a meister brau? Picking boogies? Scratching his noggin? Or is it abstract doing his immitation of John Travolta? Oh the possibilities.... ~Britt

RK & Paul have moved the goal posts & this shot is now bang on topic. Bleeding well done Lee:-)
Rod 26-Nov-2005 11:22
Have a look at Lee's new & improved for this topic version below. Now even a dingbat like you can see the topic open before yer very eyes...(c) Arthur Askey

Cos the dancer -or whatever- is a singular part of the whole which is one which fills the frame rather than a seperate and distinct entity. The whole is made up of many parts in the same way my head is made up of my nose and my eyes and my lips etc.

Good photo innit?

If the atrium fills the frame & is the subject then how did you notice the dancer Paul? Maybe the people in this shot are the trees you are talking about. Babble babble babble.................................know wot I mean boofhead.
Paul 26-Nov-2005 02:57
I believe this to be on topic as the atrium is the only object in the shot and it fills the frame. If it was a photo of the outside of the building then you would have trees and sky and other buildings in the frame which would make it off topic.
I like it too. Looks like someone is dancing on the second floor.

Every picy on earth fills the frame Lee but this challenge is for close ups, or was. If you used a longer lens so you were closing in on the subject then I think you would have wot RK had in mind. The perspective of this shot looks anything but close up.

Rod, I thought the theme was fill the frame. The picture is filled with the atrium of the museum.

Britt, What frame? Glad to keep my fan club happy! 8-}

Nice perspective, not sure about the "frame" but will stay out of that whole can of worms! You know I am your number one fan! ~Britt

This doesn't seem a close up especially with the wide angle lens. Nice shot though.
