Curves are so synonymous to womenkind, they are full of it...
I could say curves personify women.

Thanks Britt and Jano. I am glad this appeals to you. The credit for appropriate title goes to Techo. I was struggling with it through few versions. :-) -Cat

This title agrees with the photo - and it makes much more sense to me now. Lovely shot Cat :) jano

Thank you Lee, Sharon and Abs. I am so gald that you all liked it. It was all worth. -Cat
Sharon, I kinda agree with you about the second figure not resembling a human as much. I have explained it in my response to Techo's comments. As an after thought, if I choose to remove its presence, then something goes missing from the picture, so it added some value to the comp. If I had more plastic pieces, may be the kid to would have come to life too. May be some other time :) -Cat
Abs, You are absolutely right. The diffused shadows in the front of the figurines is due to a light right behind the head of the bride and the other diffused shadow behind the bride is due to the light right in front of the face, placed much higher... and that did it. :) -Cat

this is really really nice. you know the best of this shot for me is...intelligent play with shadows. i bet, the front/flat lighting would have been dull and boring. those shadows and light-gradient give life to these otherwise inanimate curves. very clever concept and equally beautiful execution. -Abstract

The woman is perfect, a beautiful construction! I am not so sure about the other figure but you get high points for creativity anyway! ~Sharon

Thank you for your kind words Techo. It was worth the effort. You are generous with your comments. Thanks for your suggestion about the kid too. To tell you franky, I ran out of pieces. Also the kid would have needed a propertionately smaller piece of curve. I do not have that. They are all of similar sizes. I liked your description of "Bride and bridesmaid" far better than my titles... I would like to use it as a title for this photo, with your permission ofcourse. -Cat

wow, you constructed these models from those plastic pieces! artistic is the word!
Paired together with the gentle hue and color of the background. I must say the image reminded me more of a Bride and bridesmaid than Mother and daughter.
Was hoping the little kid had more of human look like the mom, maybe one of those S pieces for the hair but that's just nitpicking. It is an abstract piece after all.
-Techo :)

Thanks rentasmo, I am glad you liked it. Woman is everything about curves, so I thought what better way to show women, than using curves. The "objects" in the photo are french curves. It took a while to get the shape I was looking for... -Cat

Well done. Effective use of the objects and the light.
