Working on a barge isn't for everyone, working from 6-8 mos non-stop out of the year away from your family. Some years ago my girlfriend and I got a few of the workers' attention and we yelled "We love you barge guys"... We were a tad intoxicated but we still laugh about it to this day. :) jano
LOL Cat - If I knew how to place clouds in a photo there would be a few more :) Nope, just the shot I took. Thanks for your comment! jano

I love the color combination in this one! The white of the clouds sooo compliment the barge!! As if someone intentionally placed them them there... May be Jano did :) -Cat
Thanks Steve - Like my "friend" said when I was grumbling and triping down the dike (I mean ditch).... "How do you expect to be a photographer when you're afraid to get your shoes dirty?" That's when I flung my boot at him. He may still be there :) Thanks for the comment. jano

Lovely shot Jano. I can just picture the scene high heeled boots and mud. You'll always be able to look back at this and remeber the struggle to get it. Great...- Steve
Thanks Britt - This was taken in Wisconsin actually last week during our "flea bag" hotel tour :) I really wanted to take a pic of a barge, but just missed it the morning of the fog shots. This shot, we stopped along the road, and in my high heeled boots went down and over a deep ditch and across two railroad tracks hurrying to get the damb shot. I couldn't get any closer to the river than this :( I've been to Okoboji a few times but not for a long time - I loved the wooden sugar bowl ride :) jano

When you think of a "barge" you don't think of something this pretty. I wish all the trees weren't in the way of this however. The reflection is gorgeous. Fun story, too! Do you ever get to Okoboji? We should all get together next summer and yell at some "barges." hehehe.
