* Looking for the Fish

Since kitties are always winning, here's mine ;-)
(no PS except cropping, curves and sharpening)

Ok, making of - trying to imitate Rod's story telling style :-)
This is a manly shot; only blokes can do! First, I tried to throw me cat high up in the air to land into the aquarium. Ok, missed several times but finally got one, but by far too many bubbles. Well, me learning curve..., tried it several times and therefore, no more fish around. Tried to get a shot of Nemo, but seems to be an expert in hiding in our colored carpet, damn. Then I thought, it would be a good idea, to give Kitty a helping hand, but the red color dripping from me hand messed up the image completely. Then the genius: Fasted Kitty on high fiber and high iron, so she sunk by her own. Taught her to release exactly one bubble on me sign. And now the real Galileo genius: Placed several layers of water with different temperature in the bowl, which made the bubble floating for a few seconds to allow for a sharp shot... ;-)

And for those interested: An introduction to Kitty and the Bowl: http://www.pbase.com/arminb/image/50961426

BTW: I would never throw a cat, here's my real one (but she's gone a long time ago...): http://www.pbase.com/image/50985478

Aren't we all crazy enough already :-) ~ Armin
Rod 21-Oct-2005 06:57
Thanks Britt, Armins brownies does explain his shots now you mention it. Can we have the recipe Armin? :-)
ctfchallenge20-Oct-2005 20:07
Oh, but you really should try me brownies, you feel much better afterwards ;-))
~ Armin
PS: Thanks for the explanation, already thought, I said/wrote something too wrong/offending.

Armin, what I meant was...if we were to all get together to have a party, sort of a reunion of all us goofs, and we were to all bring food, I would probably avoid your homemade brownies. (Joking that they might have wild weed baked into them which produce your crazy ideas for photos. Marijuana brownies.) :) ~Britt

Brownies, re-union? Hm? Sorry, honestly, didn't get that one (maybe today's work was too hard, my head is too empty)...don't understand...
ctfchallenge19-Oct-2005 14:53
I think we all need to stay away from Armin's brownies if we ever have a forum reunion! Either that or we should all chow down and have awesome pictures! ~Britt

HOWEVER you did this, it certainly makes the mind and eye wander. Great job Armin on a photo that certainly raises questions but has no answers :) jano

Naaa, of course she looks stiff, she was freezing like hell - hm - like ice...'cause the lowest water layer was near zero ;-) ...Thanks Yvonne, may I quote you on the 'incredible'? :-)
Rod, thanks mate but don't try to be like Paul ;-)) ~ Armin

Well Armin, your cat looks a little "stiff" maybe too many tosses in the air. You men are incredible! Fun shot....Yvonne
Rod 18-Oct-2005 10:46
That's really very funny Armin:-) The story made me twinge mate, after reading it I have enrolled in English grammar classes cos I want to learn how to talk proper like wot Paul does. You not only did a great job with the way I talk but you also posted a fantastic picy like I always do:-) For a camera shot this is excellent mate, well done.

I keep coming back to this one and just don't know what to say....My brain is locked up and confused! Help me out! I think it's the swirls that are making me dizzy and misconboobulated. ~Britt

This does need an explanation, is that cat under water and air bubble coming to surface? I like it.
ctfchallenge17-Oct-2005 18:41
This is amazing. Is that a bubble we are looking at? Ann C
