Your composition here is just perfect! Love the soft colors and the texture of the road vis-a-vis the fog. Nice! -- Bruce

I agree with all the others and especially like the watercolor look. We have this fog every morning in this part of a year. Tomas

Thanks Lee, I haven't found anything not to like so far with the two cheapo lenses. Except they're cheap:-)

Thanks Pedro & Armin, Yes its going uphill some but I think the mist makes the drop off more pronounced.

Lovely shot! On minor distraction to me, that the horizontal line falls off so much from the middle. Is it a "hill" or an artefact of the focal length/lens? ~ Armin

waw Rod... I *didn't* know it was yours from the thumbnail... I'm realizing you are really talented ;-) well done mate, I like it very much...
Rod 05-Oct-2005 11:41
Yeah you picy sod, fancy pointing out insignificant things as a little B. That B was an integral part of the shot that gave it its meaning. Now it's gone the bleeding shot only looks awesome now.
Paul 05-Oct-2005 10:19
Ta for removing that blot. Funny how something so small can distract...as the actress said to the bishop.....:>)

As a few of us like this does it mean it'll stay? Still a whole weekend to go. I reckon we'll lose the washing.

Blimey I didn't expect this response, thanks very much all. I was in two minds about this at first, as it did look great in the viewfinder but on screen I was worried it didn't have enough pop for most tastes. It was one of the heaviest mists I've seen which indicates a hot day coming up. I was hoping to get the suns rays coming through the mist but the mist blocked it out completely. I'm really pleased you liked it. Thanks again:-)

Very, very nice. Lots of mood and great light too. I never thought that such pictures are possible to take in Queensland, it looks more like autumn in central Europe.

Bloody lucky shot Rod. Good though, very good. Lose the stencilled B or whatever it is on the post to the right. Beautiful colours and textures to the gravel road.

Wow Rod..this is such a nice image ~ calming, peaceful and beautifully done.

Rod - This is probably the most creative silhouette I have seen - it's different because of the haze of the background. Back to my definition "darker" than the light in the background. Nothing has to be black - just a silhouette and you've done it beautifully here with a mood of serenity. I applaud to your creative sight for this challenge. Well done. jano

Wonderful capture Rod. Love the mood and the leaning line of the road which leads the eye all the up the path to the mistiness.

Beautiful shot, Rod. I love the warm earth tones and the angle of the road as it heads into the fog. It's not easy to get such nice colors on foggy days, but you've managed to avoid the cold look that fog often brings. This challenge is revealing a side of you we haven't seen much before.

Rod, hate to tell you this... really like this picture. Keep coming back to it. Its almost like a water color. Like the subdued and soft effect. Great job.

Scenes like this invite me to imagine that the dark, huddled lumps in the distance are some kind of creature....moving about slowly as soon as I take my focus away.

Nice warm exposure for such a foggy day.

Nice capture Rod, I like it.

Hi Rod, I like this so much more than the bench with shadows. It looks just like an early morning in the uk. - Steve
