I know how it is working with cats...or dogs, for that matter. Mine usually frustrate all my efforts to capture them doing something, unless they're sleeping. It's still a good shot.

Personally I would love to re-shoot this one. I share your issues with the focus. Unfortunately in addition to the problems one encounters when trying to get animals to behave in front of the camera, I also face the problem that my husband has put his desk in front of the only window in the house that is reasonable for taking a shot like this. Everyone in the house is working against me!
