Just For Fun! *
3rd Place

Inspired by the cslr imitation challenge, I had to have a go.
I hope no-one objects to their photos appearing in the Teddy Bear Times, as the entries were anonymous I wasn't sure who to contact.
I will remove if anyone objects.

Canon EOS 350D
1/6s f/3.2 at 70.0mm iso200 full exif

p.s. the addition of the cslr50 thumbnails is so perfect. What could be better :)

Wonderful idea and nicely executed. A nice teddy with wall color really adding to the innocense of the photo. I reckon it wouldn't looked as good if the wall was white, a nice pastel works good here. (*) well they're just tiny nitpicks but three things, 1. it's sitting on a toilet with the lid down ;) 2. the Teddy Bear times looks empty inside. 3. not sure if it's good or bad, but cloning out that white thingy coming in from the right side would put even more focus on the bear. All in all a very fun photo to look at.

Really great. What challenges are all about - taking the theme and pushing it.

Don't be silly - leave it as is! It's such a well done image. You did a great job!! :) ~ Lonnit

Wow, thanks everyone for your great comments. I'm blushing...
Rod - You'll have to put up with me in here for a bit longer, I'm only a trainee artiiist! It's far to scary over at dslr for me...
Lonnit - aaaaaaaarrrrrggggggghhhh, I new something was wrong but hadn't realised what it was till you said. I do appreciate your comment that's why the * is there. Your photo wasn't added in photoshop, but as I didn't have any off white paper I used a graduated background to the publication to stop reflections, I just hadn't thought about the bright white border over the background - well spotted.
I don't think my photoshop skills are up to cloning it out with those shadows, and I have tried to recreate the shot without success, but when you spot something like that you just can't see past it. Oh god I don't know whether to re-shoot or leave as is any thoughts?

Adorable! I've no problem with using my bear either - but if this becomes a best-selling poster I claim 3% of the profits! LOL! One minor, technical thing.... the newspaper. You must have, at least with my image, used PS to place the image "in the paper", as opposed to have placed it in with the pubbing software then printed it out. The white in my image would not have printed white on the off-white paper you used; it would have been no brighter than the paper itself. So, I figure you had to add it later in PS. That's just a nit though, it's a good image. Just wanted you to be aware of that in the future b/c it helps with being realistic. Very creative image, well shot. ~ Lonnit

Good one.

What an excellent use of perspective then, as it doesn't show. Great work Steve.
Why don't you bugger off to the Dslr challenge as there's only room for one artiiiiiiiiist here mate:-)

AWWWW so cute! This would be an inspiration for potty learning toddlers! So well thought out and creative, especially with your doing the Teddy Bear Times. Most excellent! jano

Rod, it is a pretty big bear, but the perspective makes it look huge. The Teddy Bear Times was actually created in minutes, using publisher - never tried that before but was dead easy. - Steve

Thanks for the comments, it was fun doing this one. I couldn't find a newspaper or magazine suitable, so thought it would be easier to make one, and with so many bear pics in the cslr challenge it was easy. It did make me late for work, but was worrth it. Thanks - Steve.

That's a small toilet or a big bear mate. Nice work Steve it seems as though you put a lot of work into the Teddy Bear Times.

No, I certainly don't object. In fact, I'm rather flattered that my pic appears so predominantly.
