In the trunk of my car I have one of those cushions for garden chairs. The idea is to use it when I need to get really low. Try one of those if you need to have a really low angle.

Again, this is a beautiful photo and I'm just throwing some ideas around.

Aam, believe me, I took it from as many different angles as I could think of without falling into the water, and this one seemed to work the best. You can be sure I'll go there again, and under different conditions, other things will be possible.

If you go there again Mary Anne, I would suggest taking the same photo but from a lower angle to make the dock the foreground, especially that you have the G3 which has (almost) an unlimited DOF. It's still very nice as it is though.
