Marble on Marble *

This morning was thinking about the challenge while up on the Mississippi and decided to mess around with some marbles on a glass marble table. The reflections in the main marble have me perplexed but they are what they are reflecting. I am hoping this is on topic as we are looking through glass into glass reflecting on what is shown in the glass - thereby color on color through reflective glass.

Jano, Glad you are back up and at em....I have tried a shot like this previously, but it did not turn out nearly as nice as yours. Good job. Yvonne

Thanks Rod and Cat. Yes, my intent was the background on the marble(s), thereby color on color. The main marble has the blue "thingy" in it, but otherwise is clear. My intent was to show the blue reflection in the marble from the sky. This reminds my of an underwater view, but my thought process might be far fetched. My imagination sees Atlantis and seawed, with a stingway floating above....but that's my imagination. :) Perhaps I'll rename it if that helps. jano

I was looking in the wrong place, I thought the aim was to reflect the colours of the marbles onto the glass table. But now after Gerald’s post I can see your intention was the reflections on the marbles............................I think:-)

The reflection of the blue sky on the blue marble and the columns look great; as for the colors on the table, I have to agree with Rod. Cropping it down to the main marble would probably disturb the good composition. -Gerald

Thanks Rod... I wonder if I should just crop it down to the main marble. Acually there is no background, if you focus on the main subject here. It's all illusion.

I'm not so sure about this one Jano. I can see what you were trying to do but I'm not really picking the colours in the table. There's a hint of colour, but maybe not enough. Good try though.
