Thank you Gerald, glad you liked it.

pfehlauer, the tight crop is intentional as less cropping will introduce another color (the sand).

Agree with you Techo. For some reason the girl got higher contrast after cropping. I'll try to fix that.

Thank you all gentlemen for your comments and suggestions.

Very nice... * for moy taste, the crop is too tight at the bottom...

Well done. The tight crop together with the placement of the girl near the lower right corner makes the shot very interesting. The square format works well with this shot. -Gerald

Yes you are sounding too picky, and you still have a fever :)

Looking good :) but I liked how the shadows wheren't as dark in the first crop.
I hope I'm not sounding too picky.

Thanks Yvonne. This is yet another semi-planned photo. Was shooting for this challenge and CSLR one, that's why I used the 100-400. Then when viewing the photos, noticed the little girl happened to wear clothes similar to the sea water color.

I like it better with the feet and the colors work well for this topic. Yvonne

Thanks Lee. Also, I think the sand (as suggested) makes it look better.

I like this better with feet. theFly

Done cropping as Techo and Jim B suggested. Thanks again for the help.

Thanks Techo and Jim B. And I agree, a "silver" of the sand looks much better. Shall re-crop soon.

I prefer the shot with a "sliver" of sand.

Which ever crop you decide at the end is what you should post.

Yes, Preferebly so. But just a tiny sliver of sand if in your mind will make a better shot then why not. You can crop it so tightly it wouldn't make much of a difference.
It's still mostly blue on blue

Thought it's color on color. All have to be the shade of the same color. No?
ctfchallenge05-Aug-2005 00:32
Now why would I do that :) I like the post processing in the crop but just a little more contrast would do. Why not leave a little sand on the bottom, I don't think that would make the photo off topic if the blues are more than 90% of the crop. You can always easily clone out the little shadow of the pole? that would remain.

Yes it would. But don't embarrass me Techo. Ok. Here's the original:http://www.pbase.com/cslr_challenge/image/47205137

Great catch! Any chance the full crop shows the shows all of the girl?
