Thanks for the positive comments, folks. I'm glad that you agree with my cropping decision here, as sometimes I think I have a tendency to crop too tightly. Aam, this was one of those times when the autofocus on my G3 was doing exactly what I wanted, although I did add a little sharpening in PSE. I used a large aperture and wide angle and kept snapping as I inched closer and closer to the frog, who was amazingly cooperative. He did take a leap into the pond just after this one was shot. The swivel lens, of course, made this all possible.

Thanks for giving us a glimpse of the original crop Mary Anne. I like both crops.
And a good call on the crop for this challenge :)

I quite like this crop as it gives us the frogs eye view..........sort of. Nice shot Mary Anne.

Ribbit Ribbit, good view, the pond from a frog's point of view. Nice greens. Yvonne

I was trying to stay with the greens and felt the rock he was sitting on detracted from that. Here's a less cropped version.

Very nice! The title really befits this photo well, with the way the frog is looking out.
I'm wondering of how tight the crop is though? doesn't really bother me but I'm curious to see how it would've looked otherwise.
