Jousting*

These 2 were having a 'dual' after the red/yellow knight accused the other of taking his name in vain! I think his face tells the story of the 'heat being on'! Great fun at Blenheim Palace on May bank holiday weekend!

The dirt flying off the contact is definitely what makes this image fly out as a heated exchange in jousting. What a great shot! jano

The expression on the left guy's face and the debris flying screams "heat of action". Excellent photo.

I never saw the 'woman' thing before - maybe because I saw them jousting and fighting like this! Of course it is staged, but they did a great job of putting 100% into the action. I also had some good shots of them knocking 7 bells out of each other on horseback as well! Glad you like this one.

The problem with these types of shots is seeing the crowd which spoils the effect of realness. The one in red does look like a girl with hair like that & at least one boob. This is a bit like world championship wrestling..................init.

a nice entry. i have been to a couple of renaissance fairs...these fights are really enjoyable. viewer can definitely feel the agression/heat on his face. -Abstract

Nice action, but I had to look close because I thought the guy in red was a woman! (It looks like a boob, shapely leg and a french twist!!!) LOL shu

Superb action shot Damon. You really get the feel of movement and agression here and the dirt flying off either the sheild or the axe is a great capture. Heat of the battle, excellent.
