Very nice :) It's just a tad too tight on the bottom and top of the image. Hehe, you can tell me about dragonflies, I've only met two that would stay still long enough for a couple of shots. With such a shallow f/3.5 DOF you can try to up the iso to iso400 and try a bigger bigger f-stop. In good light with proper exposure the noise is perfectly acceptable to me(in certain types of shots) if it makes the difference between getting a good shot or none at all. You can also try to shoot in continous mode if you don't use a tripod. With 5ps , considering the hand shake and very sensitive focusing with these kind of shots one should at least come out good :)
It's not DDT, it's GLUE! lol. Personally, I've had nearly zero success capturing bugs. They must just sense that I'm not a "bug guy" and don't stick around long enough to allow their picture to be taken. :-( Markjay

Paul normally sprays the bugs with DDT he then places them on a leaf & shoots away. His shots don't look quite right as in all his shots the bugs have their eyes shut.
Shu, thanks for your comment. These guys are like my kids, don;t sit still for 5 secs, such energy...
DOF is razor thin at these levels, still learining.,.

RK- Enjoy your macro fascination! I like the green setting off the dragon fly. I wish I owned a macro lens. I guess it's hard to keep all in sharp focus the closer you get. If that's his eye, maybe it should be sharper? Two of his paws are also out of focus, but the eye should be a bit sharper. I have the same problem in my closeups (but I always hope no one will notice...LOL) Shu
