This is now updated, with the stopper off to the side. IMO, the colors are not as brillient as in the previous shot. Obviously, I don't have great color and composition in any of these! (Some days are like that...LOL) Shu

I liked the lighting of the other one more. I would tend to put the bottle in the light and have the shadows on the left. I might try putting the stopper on its side and have it point to the bottle. theFly

Better composition? (A little reflection thrown in for good measure!) I learned a good lesson today. Thanks for your valuable critiques. Shu

Agreed. I liked the reflection in the stopper but it should be off center either to the right or to the left. Funny I didn't notice it. Shu

Shu. Great lighting and colors. Not sure about the location and orientation of the stopper. Seems a little arbitrary. theFly

It's a stopper for the perfume bottle. Shu

You are right, Shu... we do share a fascination with glass and we both seem to have an ever lasting supply of glass props to work with :-) Your current glass prop is nicely photographed and brings out the beautiful colors in the glass. RE what is the foreground item... looks to me like a candle snuffer but, I could be wrong, obviously.

Shu, this is just gorgeous. You do have a wonderful collection of glass work! Could not understand what is the piece in the fore-ground. -Cat
