Ok, maybe I'm confused. The is the sharpest reflection (of a person) one can get. Wasn't aiming for the pot but the reflection ;)

That's quite a statement aaammm, I fail to understand how you couldn't get part of the pot in focus mate, unless you were closer than the closest focusing distance.

Thanks Ioana. Wish I can do what you suggested, unfortunately this is the sharpest focus one can get when photographing such an object.

Aam, I really like the idea and the composition, I just wish the focus was a little bit sharper, although I do realize it is an extremely challenging shot. Can you do focus bracketing starting from the MF point?

Thanks Lee.
Rod, I used MF as it was tricky to focus on such an object.
Rod 29-May-2005 00:35
Have you tried using the centre focusing point aaammm?:-)

This is really fantastic - and a nice shiny clean pot too! Jstrong

Give it another try Paul and let's compare notes.

In the original pic you can see the camera & monopod, but cropped them :)
Paul 28-May-2005 11:06
Yep, i tried to clean mine too but all i got was swirls that really spoiled the effect i was trying to get, plus you could quite clearly make out the camera and tripod in the reflection which looked really naff so it's good you can't see the camera in your shot.

Thanks Paul. Actually we took a pic but my sister didn't like it. So she cleaned the thing then we re-shot the photo.

Hi man, cool shot dude. My kettle's covered in scratches. I should stop throwing it at the wife. I had an attempt at this, it was worse than one of Rods efforts so i'm impressed with how yours has come out.
