I love this shot! Reversing the colors on the background and shirt work really well with the reversing of facial expressions - your mouth and eyes have a downward angle on the mug and a (happier) upward one in the new shot. Great job!

Great idea. At first I thought that this is a composite but then I have read the comments

Pedro, The noise may be from several factors. The 800 ISO, the shallow DOF that I am in, it was shot at 18mm and then croppped down. I have tried neat image and not happy with any of the results.

Lonnit, They are fun. My daughter says that her mom always prefers my cup vs hers. 8-)

Excellent, Lee. In some way, you look more serious on the mug...why are you so noisy? ISO or PS unsharping ?

Thanks Cat and Mary Ann.

Great shot, Lee. Now, if you could get BOTH faces in focus, it would be really mind-boggling.

Rod, Many many many pictures. Yes it is a real mug. No, it was a gift to my wife. And she loves to have a cup of Lee every morning. theFly

PS, I might even get this one put on a mug!

Seeing as though composites are off topic (according to what I read under RKs shot) I have a ("have you stopped beating your wife") type question.
Did you Photoshop your face on the mug? Or are you that vain that you have your mug printed on your mugs?:-) You have to answer yes to one of the questions:-)
I thought the tyrant Abs would have asked you.
Rod 18-May-2005 07:12
That's very well done Lee, I don't know how you line things up without an LCD to guide you.
ctfchallenge18-May-2005 03:25
Thanks Abstract. This was tough to do. The hardest part was getting the nose right (still could use some work) and the eyes to align. I started off knowiing I could never get the exact same picture. That is why I revered the color of the background and my shirt. theFly

Lee, you have such an amazing talent to come up with your portraits (that too only involving your face) to fit the challenge. i am not able to decide whether you having the same expression as your mug-face will look better.
this is also awesome. -Abstract
