thanks for the comments jstrong, alexeig, and abstract. I used contrast when editing this photo but couldn`t put in any more because the darkest areas started to lose the detail and turned into solid black. First i increased contrast using different unsharp mask values then with the actual contrast option and levels in pse 2.0 Thanks for doing all the deciphering abstract! It´s nice to be back here in the challenge. I`ll try and get another entry in but who knows! - andrew
