Not being as young & gung ho as Andy, I see this as only spilt wine from someone that couldnt stay the course. Happens to me all the time:-)
I like it better in colour J
Powerful in colour. The sense that the red liquid is blood is overwhelming. Perhaps crop out some of the black on top. Normally with that area the eye would expect to pick up some detail.
