Round and round and round *

Antigua Guatemala

(From the song Us and Them)
This is a round basement in the Capuchinas monastery, built in 1736.

Canon PowerShot Pro 1
I uploaded a new version of this pano composed from 6 individual pictures. I used Photoshop this time to stitch the images (first time I do it this way). I think the final results are better. hide exif

Andy,
Thanks for your comments. You are right. I'll keep this one.
-Jose Pablo.

I think this b&w is the best of the three. The colour loks strange with the blue light on the flor. The wider pano is a little too bare. Stick with this one.

Ok. Here is a link to the color version of this pano:

I prefer the B&W version. But I still have my doubts about this other picture (not cropped) where you can see more of this room:

Thanks for your comments.

Hola Jose Pablo, excelente claroscuro! ( I copied what Nugar said :-) )Very nice Jose, Almost surreal! and Grand!!
I like the idea of some of us meeting in Guatemala and have a photoshoot! I am getting to know lot of you through your photos and comments.
BTW if any of you come this side to Atlanta, you are more than welcome to "pile-on" with us, (pile-on: the term we used in college, to indicate budget-boarding) :) -Cat

Same here, if any of you happen to pass thru Panama, you already have were to stay!

Humberto, I like your plan...just don't let José Pablo know... ;-)
José Pablo, thanks buddy, the same goes for you guys, we live pretty close each other, if someone happens to stop in México, just let me know and we arrange something. Saludos...

Thanks Andy, Rod, Nugar, Pedro and alex for your comments.

Andy, I’ll try to post later a color version of this one (and improve this B&W since there are some details I still not comfortable with). Good suggestion and I would like your feedback since I also had my doubts about which one I should post here in the challenge.

Pedro, Is indeed a big room. It has maybe around 20 mts. of diameter. After putting the 6 images together, I even cropped at left and right sides to make the picture shorter in length so it views better here.

Nugar and Pedro, if you don't mind sleeping together in the same bed, you can use the extra room we have in the apartment. LOL!! Seriously, it would be a pleasure to have you visiting Guatemala and meeting you in person.

Pedro let's organize a surprise visit to Guatemala. We can stay at Jose Pablo's! LOL

Hola Jose Pablo, excelente claroscuro!

Very good Jose with the light & shade interplay making it really interesting. Well shot mate:-)

This is a work of art. Fantastic and a great interpretation. You seemed to have mastered stiching a pano together. I'm wondering about the original colours. Could it be even more powerful with colour.
